Australian Name Change |
Australian users will note that the Australian section of our web site, or searches via www.Musicians-Classifieds.com.au, now bears the name 'The International Musicians Classifieds'. We needed to bring about this change due to trade mark ownership matters in that country. We apologise for any inconvenience that such a change may cause.

In-Line Third Party Ads |
No doubt you've noticed that some of the ads in The International Musicians Trading Post contain orange text with distinctly different underlines on some words. DynamiContext™ AdLink is a less obtrusive, in-line advertising program from Kontera Technologies. Only by hovering your mouse over the link will you see a brief overview with links to the entity offering the commercial information - yes, we've done away with pop-up ads for the time being.
DynamiContext™ AdLink creates its ad links on the fly using specific keywords or phrases that appear within pages of on-line content (in our case, the Search Results page), and thus it is most likely that an AdLink ad is unrelated to The International Musicians Trading Post's advertiser's ad in which it appears.
Remember, third party advertising and sponsorship helps to ensure the on-going operation of this useful, free musicians resource. And as with any ad on The International Musicians Trading Post, whilst all care is taken, we are unable to warrant their validity nor are we liable for the advertiser's actions or lack thereof, be sure to refer to our disclaimer for further information and the conditions of use of this web site.
Paid subscribers (members) of The International Musicians Trading Post will never have third party promotion or advertisement in their ads - even when their ad is viewed by a non-subscriber - plus they can also get to enjoy using The International Musicians Trading Post third party ad-free. For more information on membership (paid subscription) please contact us.

Though we had anticipated an outage of around 24 hours for the maintenance, unfortunately due to unforeseen complications the outage was considerably longer.
We apologise for any inconvenience during this outage and thank you for your patience. Thanks for coming back!

Web Site Connectivity Issues |
Been having trouble accessing our web site at some stage over the last three days? Well our ad search and submission statistics certainly indicate that a significant number of visitors had.
Our web hosting provider has advised us that network traffic to the Data Center in which our server resides became disrupted on two occasions, due to a DOS Attack against some other web site(s) on a server in the same Data Center.
First Incident: Based on our own statistical data, it appears that the first incident started to have an impact on our web site traffic (connectivity/visibility) on or around 14:00 on Saturday 07/Feb/2004 (GMT +1000). And on or around 16:00 onwards on Saturday 07/Feb/2004 (GMT +1000) no traffic made it to our server until sometime after 05:00 on Sunday 08/Feb/2004 (GMT +1000). After which our web site/server become visible to the WWW again.
Second Incident: Again based on our own statistical data, it appears that the second incident had an impact on our web site traffic (connectivity/visibility) sometime after 11:00 on Monday 09/Feb/2004 (GMT +1000) until sometime before 13:00 on Monday 09/Feb/2004 (GMT +1000). After which our web site/server become visible to the WWW again.
Attempting to connect to The International Musicians Trading Post web site during these times, would have resulted in a 'Connection Failed' error message (or similar). In the early and/or final stages of the networking issues, some visitors may have experienced missing text/images, broken (timing-out) links/form-submissions. However, due to the nature of these incidents no data on the server was lost.
We apologise for any inconvenience that such difficulties may have caused during this time. Thanks for coming back!
